Devi's Fall Pokhara, Nepal

Devi's Fall is a waterfall, also known as Patale Chango, is a popular tourist attraction located at Pokhara in Kaski District, Nepal. Its Nepali name is Patale Chango, which literal meaning is Paatal Ko Chango means "Underworld's Waterfall". The name "Devi's Fall" is derived from a tragic incident that occurred in the 1961s. A Swiss tourist named Devi was swimming but she was swept away by the strong currents and disappeared into an underground passage beneath the waterfall. Since then, the waterfall has been known as Devi's Fall in her memory.

The waterfall has a unique natural phenomenon associated with it. During the monsoon season, when the water flow is high, the waterfall turns into a thunderous cascade, creating a captivating sight. However, during the dry season, the water volume decreases significantly, and the fall transforms into a gentle stream. In addition to the waterfall itself, there is a small cave-like structure near Devi's Fall that allows visitors to go behind the cascade and experience the breathtaking view from a different perspective. The area surrounding the waterfall has been developed into a beautiful garden with well-maintained pathways, making it an enjoyable place for a leisurely stroll. Devi's Fall is easily accessible from Pokhara's Lakeside area by public transportation or taxi. It is a popular tourist spot and attracts visitors throughout the year.
